Network jumpers are generally divided into Category 5, Category 6, Category 6, Category 7 and Category 8; Category 5 jumpers are generally used in 100M networks, and Category 6 jumpers are generally used in Gigabit networks and are compatible with 100M networks. For networks, when using Category 6 jumpers, switches and routers must be replaced with gigabit switches and routers to transmit gigabit networks. Category 6 is mainly used in gigabit networks. In terms of transmission frequency, it is also 200-250 MHz like Category 6 lines, and the maximum transmission speed can also reach 1 000 Mbps, but it is greatly improved in terms of crosstalk, attenuation and signal-to-noise ratio. Category 7 is a shielded twisted pair cable, so its transmission frequency can reach at least 500 MHz, which is more than twice that of Category 6 and Super Category 6, and the transmission rate can reach 10 Gbps. Category 8 network cable is the latest generation of double-shielded (SFTP) network jumpers. It has two wire pairs, can support 2000MHz bandwidth, and the transmission rate is up to 40Gb/s, but its maximum transmission distance is only 30m, so it is generally used The connection of servers, switches, patch panels and other equipment in short-distance data centers.
